31 January 2005 and 25 January 2007, this
website, briandeer.com,
was in jeopardy, due to a claim for
libel, brought by Andrew Wakefield, utilising
lawyers made available to him free
of charge by the Medical
Protection Society, which was also
spending enormous sums of doctors' money
in similar meritless actions against
Channel 4 and Times Newspapers. Despite
unlimited liability, however, Brian Deer
refused to capitulate, and after one discontinuance, this notice, and
compensation, followed
