Transfer factor quacks move into autism
In October 2004, Brian Deer attended an Autism Society of America conference in Indianapolis as part of his investigation for the UK’s Channel 4 network. There he found rows of tables at which quacks peddled remedies, including transfer factor, a worthless product. Read the literature for yourself:
When Deer asked about the claims in the brochure, and whether the “paper” beneath it was a proper basis for selling products to parents of autistic children, he was ejected by security staff. So much for the Autism Society of America…
