MMR doctor ousted

The Sunday Times
September 21 2010

Andrew Wakefield, the disgraced doctor at the heart of the MMR vaccine scandal, was forced to step down from his post at an autism clinic in Austin, Texas, after another of his research papers was retracted, writes Brian Deer.

Editors of the specialist journal NeuroToxicology agreed to withdraw a paper of Wakefield’s in which he again alleged a link between vaccines and autism. Its withdrawal is understood to have contributed to Wakefield’s departure last week from Thoughtful House.
