Protocol
for pregnant goat autism remedy reports measles
virus found in children
This page is
research from an investigation by Brian Deer for the UK's Channel 4 Television
and The Sunday Times of London into a campaign
linking the MMR children's
vaccine with autism. | Go to part I:
The Lancet scandal | Go to part II:
The Wakefield factor|
Here are the
first pages of a protocol document submitted by Andrew Wakefield to the Royal Free's ethics committee on
February 2 1998 - before the Lancet paper was
published - setting out plans for an uncontrolled
trial of the Wakefield remedy/vaccine described
in patent documents. Among its many
curiosities is the absence of results of a "clinical and scientific
study"
reporting that no measles virus was found in the
children, but a claim [on the third page] that it
was. These results look like data from Dr Hisashi Kawashima
